The significant benefits of collaborative working and shared learning are not new philosophy, but a well proven fact. It aids the understanding of each other’s perspectives, improves the effectiveness of team working, increases staff motivation and morale. Overall, directly improving patient centred care.
With these shared aims an interprofessional, educational team; NeoSim was created to improve regional neonatal multidisciplinary team education, information sharing and team working in Northern Ireland.
Aware that our highly skilled, interprofessional team had a wealth of knowledge at their disposal, we wanted to share this in an easily accessible format. From this our YouTube education channel was created as a collaborative learning network focusing on neonatal procedures, resuscitation, developmental care, equipment and much more. We aim to enhance knowledge and understanding of other professional roles and aims in neonatal care, promoting a holistic approach to patient care through an easily accessible and inclusive format.
